Perth

Finally! I'm not even sure how long it has taken me, I think about 30 hours. I couldn't sleep on the plane from Singapore so when I landed i Perth I was ready to pass out. Came up to the passport/visa check, and almost got send back home. Reason is I didn't fill out a place of residence for my stay here, and they might think I'm gonna be an illegal immigrant. I explained to the man that even though I will be staying with family for the first few days, I'll be on the road the the duration of my stay. He looked me up and down and then decided I was ok and let me pass. Perhaps it's the Danish passport but it might just be him being good at his job. He did manage to make me a bit nervous though. 5 min. later I was outside, yep it took only 5 min. On top of the the flight down went exactly as planned. No delayes and no issues. That's the first time I experience that on a long flight.

Dan
Dan, picked me up from the airport. Who is Dan? I'm not sure what it's called, or if it even has a name, but Dan is son of my grandfathers brother. Great guy, and funny too, he picked me up in the airport wearing a gorilla mask. I knew it was him when I saw him :P

He had his car there, obviously, and I almost got in the wrong side, I need to get used to that. We drove about 40km to where they live. He told me the name but I can't remember right now.
We talked for days, I showed him old pictures my aunt had given me and we basically hit it off from Square one. I then proceeded to literally pass out and slept for the rest of the day. Mind you I landed 5am.

Bethanii
I got woken up at around 6pm by Bethanii, one of Dans daughters, with a water gun :D the crazy runs in the family it would seem, good to know.

Beth
Ginger beer, and a cockroach

Dinner happened, cooked up by Dans wife Beth. Dinner was corn beef, never had that before, but it was a home run :) I had a Ginder beer, also a first, a think that will have to grow on me.

After hours of talking and a few glasses of whiskey and coke, I'm hitting the sack again. Good night all, smell ya later.

  1. Glad the guy ler you in the country. Your grand uncle and his family look super cool. :-)
I also almost got sent back at the Montreal airport too when I landed. :) Two immigration ladies were kind enough to let me stay in the country without a visa for few days :-) . Jonas L was also very kind to pay for the permit with io credit card and I am now looking out the 16th floor hotel window overlooking beautiful early morning montreal. :-)
