Got my gear and saw my first magpie

Soo today still no motorcycle, BUT I did get my gear :)
Got it at a good price too, there is jacket, pants, boots, gloves, back protector and helmet. Getting a new helmet is always exciting.

Now all I need is a bike ;)

Dan took me for a drive today around the area in Crawley. We went through Kings Park on the Honour Avenues. It's with a mixture of awe and sadness you go though there, but its a beautiful idea and I want to go through it on the bike before I leave Perth.

He took me to through the city to a park area where he used to work in his younger days. I tried my best to catch photos on the way:

They have phone booths, imagine that.

Crazy looking tree, eh!
Panoramic view from the park overlooking Perth
I don't even know what this is

Australian Magpie, not scared of me, not even a little bit.

Another crazy tree.

We also went to the beach where Dan filled me with stories of near death experiences. I'm sure they had some level of truth to them :P

This is Bob. Another bird not very scared of me.

In the evening four of us went out for dinner, it was Beth, Dan, Bethanii and myself, I ended up having beef teriyaki, yum

  1. Hi Daniel, great start on your Australian adventures. The palmlike tree is called pandanus and the other crazy tree is a baobab.
